Empower Children's Home receives 'Good' rating from Ofsted

Ofsted has rated one of the Empower Family Group's Children's Homes in Somerset as "Good", following an inspection in January 2022.

The two day inspection took place between 11th and 12th January 2022, when inspectors visited Dunromin House, one of Empower's LD and EBD Children's homes.

Jade McVeigh the homes Responsible Individual, said:

"I am delighted we have achieved this rating from Ofsted for one of our children’s homes. The determination, hard work and ambition to improve – from our skilled and thoughtful residential care workers, registered managers, right through to our senior leaders – has led to this result.

For Ofsted to recognise the progress we have made and the strength of our service for the most vulnerable children and young people in our county makes me extremely pleased and incredibly proud.”
